Transformation Of A Body

by Lucinda Evans (c) 1992

Revised by Lucinda Campbell Evans (c) 2000

THERE ISN'T ANYTHING NEW UNDER THE HEAVENS! Even the divine principles of the Kingdom and our King that are being released in our midst today ARE NOT NEW! We are simply WAKING UP to them, just as we did when we were saved! Salvation had always been there for us, we just had to AWAKEN to it! GLORY TO GOD! And so now, we are continuing in that AWAKENING as we enter into the glorious liberty which has ALWAYS been ours! Let us not reject the WORD as did Israel of old when He didn't reveal Himself in the time nor the form they expected.

The following paragraph is a commentary added to this work

We are the first generation to enter a NEW MILLENIUM. Now there are those who would argue that 2000 years haven't passed since Christ and would not do so until sometime between 2001 because the change from B.C. to A.D. was a zero year. Regardless of the arguments, the THIRD DAY is upon us. We have entered the THIRD DAY or the Third Millenium since Christ and the Church is still PRESENT in the EARTH!

Even from the creation, God has always worked in threes. We will use the layout of the Tabernacle to help us to be able to visualize the progression of the plan of God. Here are just a few examples:

God's eternal plan is to save the whole man our Spirit, Soul & Body according to Romans 8:18 and also Romans 8:23. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

According to Ephesians 3:9, the complete, hidden mystery was brought forth BEFORE the foundation of the world: "And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ".

Ephesians 1:4 – According as he hat chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.

Revelation 13:8 – And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Then it was completed in the ministry and person of Jesus Christ:

Ephesians 1:9-10 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

1Corinthians 2:7-8 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

2Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

1Peter 1:19-20 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.

Hebrews 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

The final phase of the plan and purpose of God is for His purpose and work to be experienced in man : Colossians 1:26-27 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

1Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory :

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Because of the fall of man, God's dwelling place with man became divided but in and through Christ, God and man will truly become ONE! One room, one dwelling place. In the beginning, God walked with Adam. There wasn't anything that separated them. The Tabernacle of David clearly demonstrated to us the heart of the Father and what would be in Christ. In Jesus, God was in flesh and dwelt among us, demonstrating that the Tabernacle of God is WITH men, not separated from them.

We can clearly see the full extent of the plan of the Father in Ephesians 1:13-18: In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation (Passover!) : in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, (Pentecost!) which is the earnest (down payment) of our inheritance UNTIL the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his Glory. (Tabernacles!) Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory , may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him (Father): The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. Ephesians 1:13-18

Deuteronomy 16:16 - Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread (Passover), and in the feast of weeks (Pentecost), and in the feast of Tabernacles

These feasts were not optional and they were a shadow of that which was to come concerning the plan that God had for man. Their true meaning being obscured until the appointed time. Although they did speak of the Person and work of Jesus Christ, they also spoke of three major events which would occur in the Church.

1. the crucifixion of Jesus

2. the baptism of the Holy Spirit

3. the Manifestation of the Glory of the Father.

Two of these feasts have already fully come (Passover and pentecost).. One is still yet to be revealed . Just as the Feast of Tabernacles was the THIRD feast, so there will be a THIRD (or the final) manifestation of the plan of God in the earth. Just as salvation had its three phases, so will Tabernacles in the experience of man. (Passover) Salvation was planned before the foundation of the world, it was worked in and through the life of Christ 2000 years ago, and we came into the experience of this event when we accepted its work in our lives. Same with Pentecost and so it shall be with Tabernacles.

It was in the Outer Court where the sacrifice for atonement took place upon the Brazen Altar in the Tabernacle of Moses which is symbolic of the Passover experience. It is here that we find Jesus and His work concerning the Heart/Inner Man.

Passover was instituted when the nation of Israel was still in captivity in Egypt. Most realize the significance of Passover, but our salvation is far more extensive and provisionary than many have realized. In the 12th chapter of the book of Exodus we read as follows:

"Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without blemish , a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof. And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover . For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. Exodus 12:3-13

A lamb was taken for every (the whole) HOUSE. When the Death Angel came and saw the blood, He passed over because there had already been a death exacted in the house. It was the death of the FIRSTBORN (Jesus, the Lamb of God, the FIRSTBORN of many brethren)! When the Death Angel did not see the blood it meant that a death had not occurred there.

Jesus is the REAL Lamb and He was slain for the sins of the world and it was absolutely foreordained that He would be crucified during the fullness of the Feast of Passover. As we apply the blood of Jesus to ourselves (the doorposts of our heart), Passover becomes fulfilled in our experience. This Passover celebration causes us to be freed from the Law of sin and death! Jesus was the fulfillment of Passover once and for ALL.

The Holy Place relates to the Feast of Pentecost also known as the Feast of Harvest and it is here that we find the Holy Spirit and His work concerning our Soul/Mind. It is here that we find the Candlestick and Golden Altar of Incense both with Oil, and the shewbread which is Grain & Oil. Oil is the symbol for the Holy Spirit, grain is symbolic of people. In the 2nd chapter of the book of Acts we find the fulfillment of the Feast of Pentecost fulfilled through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. As we look at the scriptures, we can see clearly that tongues was not the purpose of being filled with the Spirit of God, rather it was to be empowered to WITNESS! The speaking of tongues was for the purpose of edification and evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:4-8

We experience as Christians the fulfillment of Pentecost in our lives when we are baptized in the Holy Ghost. It is in this experience that the Holy Ghost becomes the Illuminator and Revelator in our lives. He is the One that teaches and brings the engrafted Word which is able to save our Soul/Mind (James 1:21). It is here that we feast upon the Word of God and are prepared for our entrance into the Most Holy Place. It is in this experience that we are able to deal bread to the hungry, and be a part of the harvesting of souls.

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come , they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:1-4

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. Acts 2:41

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Acts 2:46-47.

Just as Jesus is the fulfillment of Passover and Pentecost, so He is also the fulfillment of Tabernacles. Just as we have experienced Passover and Pentecost, so we are to also experience Tabernacles. So sad it is that there are those who have come into Passover, that never taste or recognize that there is a Pentecost. Equally sad, is the fact that there are many who taste Passover and Pentecost and have never heard or known anything about Tabernacles. Many have chosen to camp out at PASSOVER and hardened their hearts to the PENTECOST,. Hopefully the Pentecostals will not make the same mistake and camp out at Pentecost. It is in the Most Holy Place that we have the representation of Tabernacles. It is within this place that God and man meet face to face. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1John 3:2.

This was the feast wherein man would become his own priest unto the Lord. He was instructed to construct a 'booth' (tabernacle, a dwelling place, tent) and it was there that he would be alone with God, entering into communion with Him for seven (number for perfection) days. It was to be a time of transformation, a time of transfiguration, a time for the sealing up and a bringing together the oneness of God and man.

A beautiful picture of what this feast was symbolic of is the transfiguration of Jesus in the book of Matthew. And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only Matt. 17:1-8

The disciples were overwhelmed by what occurred before their very eyes and Peter immediately wanted to construct three tabernacles of worship to preserve the moment. Like so many today, he did not have an understanding of what was being declared in their midst! He wanted to maintain and worship the moment, rather than who the moment was all about. What had manifested before their very eyes was: 1. The glorified body of the resurrected Lord. 2. The glorified 'body' (church) which was to come with Christ as the head. GOD AND MAN AS ONE. It is not coincidental that this revelation happened DURING the actual Feast of Tabernacles. God was revealing that which would take place in the fullness of times, the TIME APPOINTED BY THE FATHER. 1 Corinthians 15:51 - Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall Not All Sleep (Die!), but We shall all be changed (transformed).

The word in this verse of scripture is 'metamorphoo' which is the Greek word from which we get the word metamorphosis and both mean to be changed, to be transformed, to be transfigured. This word 'metamorphoo' is transfigured in Matthew 17:2 and Mark 9:2; transformed in Romans 12:2; and changed in 2Corinthians 3:18. In reality, to have a change in nature. It is in the 'tent' of the cocoon that a Caterpillar undergoes a metamorphosis and is transformed into a beautiful butterfly. The Caterpillar departs from its familiar surroundings and is cut-off from any contact. As he separates himself, he begins to spin a cocoon (build a dwelling place) around himself until he is completely separated ! During the last phase of his transformation quick and immediate. He undergoes what is called a 'crystalis' process and emerges as a new creation, no longer to be earth bound. Now he can soar in the heavens.

The booth or tabernacle in which each man dwelt for seven days can be compared to a cocoon. We are in the initial changes concerning passover and pentecost, but there will be a SUDDEN change that will come upon us when we are clothes with our heavenly body. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 2 Corinthians 5:2 Our God is looking for a people who will not be earthbound but rather will live and soar in the heavens.

Those who experience the fullness of Tabernacles will be changed in their physical bodies. They will be transformed without having to experience death. The last enemy to be overcome is Death (1Cor. 15:26.). As the Feast of Tabernacles comes into full manifestation, it will bring Immortality to the Body at the time appointed of the Father.

God has built Himself a 'booth' if you will, and it is the tabernacle which is not made with hands and you are that tabernacle! Know ye not that ye are the temple of the Holy Ghost? 2Corintians 3:16-17. And He is building a spiritual house, a holy habitation unto Himself, whose house YOU ARE!

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth : for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Rev. 21:1-3

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; Rev. 21:9-11

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. Rev. 21:22-23

We groan deep within ourselves along with the creation for the final redemption. For that which is mortal to put on immortality. For that which is corruptible to put on incorruption. In the finality of it all, God Almighty and the Lamb are the dwelling place in the city of God. It will be the manifestation of man dwelling in God, but God dwelling in man.

Romans 8:18-19 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the Manifestation of the Sons of God…And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the REDEMPTION of our BODY.

After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: Acts 15:16

In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: Amos 9:11

Of notable importance is the fact that GOD HIMSELF is going to raise up and build again the Tabernacle of David! God declared David to be a man AFTER HIS OWN HEART. What was that heart? ONENESS! He was saying that David's heart was PATTERNED AFTER HIS! David had the Father's heartbeat, the Spirit of His essence. This tabernacle was a single room where God and man could be together as ONE! There was only ONE piece of furniture in this tent and it was the Ark of the Covenant. For it was this Ark that was complete within itself concerning Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles. It was the place of the coming together of all things into ONE! But this Tabernacle would not be a tent as it was in David's time, rather it would be a TEMPLE NOT MADE WITH HANDS!

Jesus is the Firstborn of many brethren. The time is upon us and we have entered the THIRD DAY! We shall be released in the greater works and shall be crowned with the Mind of Christ. here will be those who will do the works Jesus did & Greater. They will receive the 100 fold Glory of the Sun.

In closing, Isaiah the Prophet encouraged us with these words: Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound . Isaiah 30:26
